ARCHITECTS AND ENGINEERS: The Amplified Round Ceiling Speaker, model V-1020C, shall include a speaker, amplifier, volume control, and round grille. The V-1020C Amplified Round Ceiling Speaker assembly, amplifier module, housing, and hardware shall be electrically and acoustically matched for a frequency response of 80 Hz to 15 kHz. The V-1020C Amplified Round Ceiling Speaker element shall be cone-type with a 5oz (142g) ceramic magnet. The diameter of the speaker cone shall be 8.00in (20.32cm). The voice coil diameter shall be 0.75in (1.91cm). Voice coil impedance shall be 45 ohms. The V-1020C Amplified Round Ceiling Speaker shall have a frequency response of 80 Hz to 15 kHz. Distortion shall be less than 1.5% at-rated output of 1-Watt RMS. The signal-to-noise ratio shall be -70 dB. The V1020C amplifier shall operate on a -24 Vdc nominal power supply. The operating current shall be 50 mA at -24 Vdc. The operating temperature shall be -4 to +131 ºF (-20 to +55 ºC). The V-1020C Amplified Round Ceiling Speaker grille shall be constructed of steel with a white powder-coated finish. A screwdriver adjustable volume control shall be provided at the center of the grille. The externally accessible volume control shall make it possible to adjust the speaker’s volume level without removing the unit. The V-1020C shall be suitable for indoor applications. Installation Instructions

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR AMPLIFIED CEILING SPEAKERS: Valcom Ceiling Speakers, V-1010C, V-1020C,and V-1020KNOB are self-amplified and are capable of reproducing voice paging as well as background music. The V-1020KNOB has a permanent knob for volume adjustments, the V-1010C and V-1020C feature a removable volume control knob. The V-1010C is a 4-inch speaker and the others are 8-inch speakers. All speakers require -24VDC, 50mA (1-power unit) and are FCC Part 68 registered under BAFUSA-69358-KX-N.3
