- The V-1420 Signature Series High-Fidelity Ceiling Speaker shall consist of a white co-axial speaker, amplifier, volume control, removable knob and round grille. The V-1420 Signature Series High-Fidelity Ceiling Speaker woofer shall be 8in (20.32 cm) in diameter and have a 10oz (284g) ceramic magnet. The tweeter shall be 3in (7.62cm) in diameter and have a 3oz (85g) ceramic magnet. Operating temperature shall be +32 to +122 °F (0 to +50 °C). The V-1420 Signature Series High-Fidelity Ceiling Speaker shall include an amplifier assembly and volume control. The amplifier shall operate on a -24 Vdc nominal positive ground power supply. Operating current shall be 200mA at -24 Vdc. The V-1420 Signature Series High Fidelity Ceiling Speaker grille shall be finished with a baked-on powder coat epoxy finish. The volume control located in in the front of the grille is adjustable using a removable knob. The V-1420 shall be suitable for indoor applications. The maximum dimensions shall be: 13.00in Dia x 3.00in D (33.02cm x 7.62cm). Weight shall be approximately: 3.50lbs (1.59kg).2
Installation Instructions
- VALCOM SIGNATURE SERIES™, HIGH FIDELITY CEILING SPEAKER
- Valcom Signature Series™ Ceiling Speaker, V-1420, is a high fidelity, self-amplified (6 watt amplifier) speaker and may be used to provide one-way paging and high quality music reproduction from any Valcom page control. This speaker has an adjustable volume control located on the front of the unit. The V-1420 requires -24VDC, 200mA (4 Valcom power units). The speaker is available in a white powder epoxy finish.3
- NOTE
- No power amplifier required. Do not connect this speaker directly to a 25/70/100 volt amplifier as damage to both the amplifier and speaker may occur. (Recommended nominal input level to the V-1420 is -10dBm).3
- MOUNTING CONNECTIONS
- Cut an 8.5” diameter hole in ceiling tile. After connections have been made to the speaker, attach speaker to ceiling tile using the mounting hardware provided. (A metal backbox with rails is available separately as model V-9816M).3
